Como primicia hago la Primer entrega del proyecto "El Árbol de los Colibríes"

ARTIST STATEMENT:

                La presente serie tiene su fundamento en un personaje y el entorno de su actividad mágica; representa a un taumaturgo de zona rural en el México contemporáneo. La serie completa comprende 4 placas con modelo (femenino) que caracteriza al santón en una etapa de metamorfosis mística en la que se vuelve un ente mágico andrógino en el que su lado femenino aflora como una manifestación de misticismo. El entorno, que se conforma con las 8 placas restantes, trata de definir el ritual mágico por medio del cual resucita colibríes para extraer la esencia o alma de sus seguidores. De alguna manera el personaje muestra habilidades mágicas en un sentido de aprovechar la energía de sus adeptos. El personaje principal (taumaturgo) se ha transmutado en un ente sagrado al que se le atribuyen facultades mágicas, curativas y milagrosas, capaz de curar y resucitar. Un tema recurrente en la creencia del imaginario colectivo de México, que sin embargo de ser una nación predominantemente religiosa, continúa creyendo en lo sobre natural ciegamente. El personaje interpreta la religión convirtiendo y asumiendo símbolos y ritos a una primitiva creencia inventada, dentro de una ignorancia casi inocente pero perversa en realidad.

                EL ÁRBOL DE LOS COLIBRÍES© representa el templo donde estas aves resucitadas encuentran refugio y se nutren de un néctar mágico, que a su vez, sirve de sustancia curativa para los seguidores del taumaturgo, digamos entonces que éste los alivia de males humanos pero les sustrae lo que alimenta la magia del santón. El colibrí era símbolo de resurrección en las Culturas Mesoamericanas (la Náhuatl, Maya, Olmeca, etc.) en virtud de que suele invernar y “renacer victorioso” en la primavera, de igual manera el personaje se vale de esta atribución de renacimiento de las criaturas y las convierte en entes “místicos-bio-mecánicos” que obedecen al poder que en ellos ejerce por medio de la atracción que de su persona emana, mismo que atrae a hombres y mujeres y se entregan en un culto a lo oscuro a falta de una FE tangible. Como es el caso actual de las nuevas religiones. El colibrí como símbolo se interpreta con un significado espiritual muy fuerte: Representa la RESURRECCIÓN. En muchas culturas ancestrales, significa la muerte en las noches frías o el frío invierno y su regreso o resurrección a la vida, al amanecer o a la Entrada de la Primavera. El colibrí también simboliza el amor, la belleza, la armonía, el equilibrio y la fragilidad pero también la fortaleza y sabiduría de la naturaleza y por ende del Universo. Huitzilopochtli fue concebido por la Virgen Madre Coatlicue, la cual estando orando en el Templo del Sol, o barriendo en la sierra de Coatepec, recibió del cielo una corona de plumas de colibrí, la cual puso en su seno y acto seguido quedo embarazada de Huitzilopochtli, dando a luz al hijo humano del Dios Único “Ometeotl”. Huitzilopochtli (Dios Solar de la Guerra, entendiendo la guerra como la batalla interna) ocupa un lugar relevante en el concepto Azteca, su nombre esta compuesto de la siguiente manera: Huitzili – Colibrí, Chupamirto, Chupaflores, y Opochtli que significa lado izquierdo

                El Solsticio de invierno (21 de Diciembre del 2012), es el nacimiento del Huitzilopochtli, El Mensajero Solar que renace como un “Niñito Precioso” (Conciencia Crística) con los primeros rayos de luz del solsticio de invierno (Alineación Galáctica del 2012), es Pinnzintecuhtli, El Niño Sol, el Sol Tierno que nace como un precioso colibrí para continuar su camino y romper la inercia del frío y de la noche (El Miedo y el Egoísmo) al Amanecer de la Nueva Era Solar, la Era del Sexto Sol, La Era de Acuario.

                EL ÁRBOL DE LOS COLIBRÍES© es una serie que intenta rescatar la esencia mágica de los pueblos mesoamericanos y el terrible choque con la religión europea, la decadencia de la FE tal y como la conocemos y la adecuación a un rito ancestral interpretado por las pasiones generadas en torno a las carencias, el resentimiento social y el hambre en todas sus manifestaciones. 

ARTIST STATEMENT:

This series is grounded in a character and environment of the magical activity, represents a rural caster in contemporary Mexico. The complete set comprises four plates with model (female) that characterizes the holy man in a mystical metamorphosis stage where it becomes a magical being androgynous in her feminine side emerges as a demonstration of mysticism. The environment, which complies with the 8 remaining plates, trying to define magic ritual by which resurrects hummingbirds to extract the essence or soul of his followers. Somehow the character displays magical abilities in a way to harness the energy of its adherents. The main character (caster) has been transmuted into a sacred being attributed to him magical powers, and miraculous healing, can heal and resurrect. A recurring theme in the belief in the collective imagination of Mexico, yet being a predominantly religious nation, continues to believe in the supernatural blindly. The character plays and taking religion becoming symbols and rituals invented a primitive belief, in an almost innocent ignorance but actually perverse.

THE TREE OF HUMMINGBIRD © represents the temple where these birds find shelter resurrected and feed on nectar magic, which in turn serves as a healing substance for fans of the caster, then say it relieves them of human ills but subtracts what feeds the magic of the holy man. The hummingbird was a symbol of resurrection in Mesoamerican cultures (the Nahuatl, Maya, Olmec, etc..) Under winter and often "reborn victorious" in the spring, just as the character uses this power of revival of creatures and entities become "bio-mechanical mystics" who obey the power that they exercise it through the attraction of her person emanates, it attracts men and women and are delivered in a cult of the dark in the absence a tangible FE. As is currently the case in the new religions. The hummingbird symbol is interpreted as a strong spiritual meaning: represents resurrection. In many ancient cultures, means death on cold nights or cold winter and return or resurrection to life at dawn or the arrival of spring. The hummingbird also symbolizes love, beauty, harmony, balance and fragility but also the strength and wisdom of nature and therefore of the Universe. Huitzilopochtli was conceived by the Virgin Mother Coatlicue, who was praying in the Temple Sun or saw sweeping Coatepec, received from heaven a hummingbird feather crown, which put in her womb and immediately became pregnant with Huitzilopochtli, giving birth to the human son of the One God "Ometeotl". Huitzilopochtli (God Solar War, understanding the war as the internal battle) occupies an important place in the concept Azteca, his name is composed as follows: Huitzili - Hummingbird, hummingbird, Chupaflores, and that means left Opochtli

The Winter Solstice (December 21, 2012), is the birth of Huitzilopochtli, The Messenger Solar reborn as a "Precious Little Baby" (Christ consciousness) with the first rays of the winter solstice (Galactic Alignment of 2012), is Pinnzintecuhtli, El Niño Sun, the Sun Tierno born as a beautiful hummingbird to continue their way and break the inertia of the cold and the night (The fear and selfishness) to Sunrise Solar New Age, the Age of the Sixth Sun , The Age of Aquarius.

THE TREE OF HUMMINGBIRD © is a series which seeks to recover the magical essence of Mesoamerican peoples and the terrible collision with European religion, the decline of faith as we know it and the adaptation to an ancient ritual performed by the passions generated around gaps, social resentment and hunger in all its manifestations.
